About Wichro
Wichro Inc. was founded in 2007 to develop software products that take social networking to the next level. Armed with the belief that creating a community which leverages the inherent opportunities and simplicities of a mobile device would foster increased communication among friends, businesses and complete strangers, Wichro unveiled its first product ZKOUT, in December 2007.
ZKOUT enables users of virtually any mobile device currently available to create content—messages, photos, videos—with their handsets and post it to the ZKOUT network from any location. ZKOUT’s unique location-based software notifies other logged-in users within a predefined radius that someone nearby has posted new information. This enables end users, if they choose, to act and connect live. Whether it’s meeting a friend based on a picture of their location, dropping in on a nearby happy hour promoted by a local bar owner, or taking a chance and meeting someone new because they just posted a cool video, ZKOUT offers a new way for people to have fun and connect with others. Wiklund, Ekman and Lindstrom, engineers who graduated from Sweden’s prestigious Chalmers University, teamed up with Seidler, a graphic designer in the technology industry, to create a sophisticated mobile networking framework.
